Hello all, im working on some PCBs for my papilio one. The main deisgn im working on involves the MC74LCX16245 which is a “Low−Voltage CMOS
16−Bit Transceiver” Kind of like the 74xx245 but 16bit wide. Makes PCB design a bit easier for me and also keeps part count down.
This board was inspired by the “Open Bench Logic Sniffer” . This is a 32 channel open source logic analyzer. Its awesome. I have my papilio board which can be used with the same bit (program) file. So basically my papilio acts as the logic analyzer.
I like the idea of the level translator on there so much i decided to make a board for a entire 16 bit translator. If you want you can simply use 2 boards so you can accept 32 connections of upto 7v MAX on the Papilio One.
Its a nice simple board but very useful, especially if you dont want to fry your board 😀
